Salary Range: $37.20 - $51.80 Expected Hours: 35 hrs / Week

Position Summary:

Northeastern Public Health is seeking applications from registered nurses with a nursing degree who are interested in applying their nursing knowledge and skills to promote, protect, and preserve the health of populations at the individual/family, community, and system level. The public health nurse participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate public health programs within their community and catchment area. Qualifications:

  • BScN or equivalent degree: Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse;
  • Previous public health or community nursing experience is considered an asset;
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills;
  • Fluency in both official languages is required;
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to meet program needs;
  • Access to a vehicle and possession of a valid driver’s license;
  • Satisfactory criminal background check;
  • Required to comply with Immunization policies including COVID-19 vaccination unless valid medical exemption is provided.
